Pakistan Program
The Asia Foundation is currently looking for Senior Program Officers for the USAID supported Gender Equity Program(GEP), To manage the program's four main objectives : Enhancing Gender Equity, Increasing Women's Empowerment, Combating Gender-Based Violence, and Strengthening the Capacity of Pakistani Organizations.
Vacancy : Senior Program Officers (4 Positions Islamabad Based)
(Salary Range : PKR 90,000 to pm + Benefits )
Responsibilities :
To manage the design, development, implementation, and reporting of assigned component of Gender Equity Program and related grants
To scrutinize selected proposals, budgets, and finalize qualified proposal for GRANTS under assigned program themes.
Management of budgets, expenditures expenditure projections related to assigned projects
Conceptualization and preparation of projects, follow up for potential partners, under the assigned GEP thematic area.
Undertake field visits, coordinate with GEP partners, provide support to partner organization in capacity building
Building and maintenance of network of partners, resources related to project and ability to work in a large / diverse team
Communicate and liaise closely with project parties. International NGO community, ministries, government agencies, media and academia, including representing project at various events and meetings as assigned
On-going coordination and information exchange with Director of Fiance, Grants and Compliance.
Job Specification :
Qualification Required :
Masters degree in social sciences or equivalent
Masters degree in social sciences or equivalent
Experience Required :
5-7 years of progressively responsible project management experience, including polars and programs, Deep familiarity with development issues in Pakistan with focus on gender equity, Experience in a development assistance organization and proven ability to turn program ideas into project realities.
Computer Skills Required :
Good command of MS Office
Other Preference :
Ability to undertake field visits.
